In this article, find out how to change the signer's name when filling out a form, for more flexible management of your validations in the field.
Until now, the name linked to a signature was automatically the one of the person logged into the Finalcad One app.
From now on, you can manually enter the name of a third-party signer (a subcontractor, a tenant or a partner) right at the moment of signing, without having to switch accounts.
The process stays simple and fast and is available on web and mobile:
Open your form and go to the Signature step.
A new field called "Name of the signatory" appears.
You have two options:
You leave the field empty: your name (logged-in user) will be used by default, just like before.
You enter a name: the name you enter will replace your identity for this specific signature.
Sign and submit the form.
Note: This field is optional. If you donβt fill it in, the system will automatically keep the identity of the Finalcad One account holder.
The name shown in this field (or your default name) will appear in two strategic places:
On the mobile form: Directly above the handwritten signature.
In the PDF reports: The entered name will clearly appear in the signature block of the generated report, ensuring perfect traceability of who actually signed the document.
