Layers give a view with different backgrounds whilst keeping the same layout. Here’s how to use them :
Layer Presentation
- Select a level in the list to the left in order to access the zones.
- Tap on a zone (the default layer is architect) :
In the FINALCAD demo project, you will find two other views, Electricity and Plumbing.
Hide / Show the layer issues
In a selected view, there is a small frame with a number, which represents the number of issues present in the layer. By tapping the eye to the right of the layer, it’s barred and hides the observations.
Hide / Show all the issues placed in the same layer.
Show any view, then tap on the “eye” icons to show or to hide (bar) them.
Here’s an example : the architect layer is shown with all the issues (all the layers included).
Good layer practice
Example : Do you want to mark an issue for the electrician ?
- Go to the electrical layer
- Drag and drop the marker in the desired place in the zone.
Putting a pellet on the wrong layer?
- Position yourself on the area and the pellet to be moved
- Make a long tap on it
- Click the icon to the left of the hammer at the top of the activity stream
- Change Layer
