After the new user has been created, there are a number of settings to configure:
- The user’s group. This defines the user’s rights within your project.
- Adding the user to the automatic email distribution list.
- Granting the ability to edit the Issues library.
- The user’s admin status.
- The company the user belongs to.
Let’s take a look at how to set up this data.
- Select “Edit” to modify the profile of the user. On the user screen, there are multiple options:
- Click here to delete the user. Deleting a user does not delete his Finalcad account.
- Assign the user to another group. Only one group is allowed.
- Add or remove the user to or from the report distribution list.
- Allow the user to edit the company library (add a trade or an issue template from a mobile device). This matches the option of creating new issue templates within the app
- By default, any user in a group who can “create” also has this right.
- Sometimes, in order to manage the issue template library of a project with a large number of users, it’s recommended to disallow editing for the majority of users with the exception of a few who will become responsible for the Issues library template.
- Lastly, it’s not necessary to confirm changes, as they take effect immediately.
- Give a user administrative rights to edit data in the project throughout the platform.
- Select the company the user belongs to. When creating a site summary report in Finalcad, the collaborators who are present need to be linked to the company. It is now possible to do this operation in FC Manager.
Note: If someone needs only to receive reports, you can select “Yes” in the “Email & Report” section, and “None” under “Group”.
